"I said I was only going for one year but things worked out differently."

Not too long ago, I decided to take a long vacation to Spain, just to relax from all the stress I had been through over the past few years. Some of my friends had been there and told me it's quite fun and friendly.
As soon as I got there, I crashed down at Peter's place. Peter is a young boy who used to be my class mate for many years back in my country. It was so nice to see him again after all that time. He didn't even give me time to unpack my things, he just shoved me into his car and drove us to a concert of one of our favorite bands. We were having a blast and that was only the beginning.
In the following weeks we met a Portuguese comunity in his neighbourhood, we went to the casino, the the K-1 shows and a bar-marathon. It was awesome. So I wondered: "why not live here?".
"I've mad some friends, I have had a lot of fun, I always wanted to study in a foreign country and I can share the rent with Peter".
As expected, my folks freaked out a little, but they were also very supportive.
I made the right decision, everything is different around here. People are friendly, the cities are much bigger, the school is great and me and Peter are having the times of our lives.
Yes, I know I said I was only going out for one year but things worked out differently and I'm glad they did.
